I was thinking about saving this playlist until the leaves turned and preparations began for the haunted holidays. But, inspiration hit and I couldn’t help myself! Death, isolation, loneliness, darkness, hauntings, talk of the devil and his work, one’s own demons… all these themes seem to be ones that I come across again and again in work by some of my favorite rock and southern artists. These songs are far from depressing, though. Musical elements create spooky, atmospheric works that can be a little scary and a little sexy.
Here are a few of my favorites that I have rounded up. Do you have any songs you would add to the list?
